Driftline Studio team reviewing the new brand system

Overview

From solid portfolio to premium brand

Driftline did excellent work but looked like everyone else: a generic template site, an inconsistent logo, and case studies buried three clicks deep.

We rebuilt the identity from positioning up — a distinctive wordmark, confident color, and a case-study-first website where the work sells before the first call.

Challenge

Competing on price instead of craft

Prospects compared Driftline to freelancers because the brand gave them no reason not to. Meanwhile the studio’s best projects were invisible to buyers who never got past the homepage.

The rebrand had to work twice as hard: excite the studio’s own designers and convince CFOs that premium rates were justified.

Approach

Strategy first, then swagger

01

Positioning workshop

One intense week defining the audience, the promise, and the proof.

02

Identity in the browser

Logo explorations tested live on real page layouts, not blank slides.

03

Case studies as product

A repeatable case-study template the studio still publishes with today.

New Driftline identity across laptop, tablet, and phones Refining website details before launch

Outcome

What changed for Driftline

Two quarters after launch, the studio reports a different kind of pipeline.

Qualified inquiries up

Fewer tire-kickers, more buyers who reference specific case studies.

Higher rate acceptance

Premium positioning ended discount pressure on flagship services.

A team that publishes

The case-study template turned portfolio updates into a habit.

“Prospects arrive already convinced. Our site finally sells at the level our work deserves.”
