Overview
One login for every client question
BrightPath’s clients used to ask the same three questions: is my ticket moving, are my systems healthy, and what did we pay for last month? Answers lived across email, a monitoring tool, and PDFs.
We designed and built a white-labeled portal where each client sees ticket status, live system health, and monthly reports — with role-based access so technicians, managers, and executives each see the right level of detail.
Challenge
Trust, hidden behind logins
Support data sat in a helpdesk clients couldn’t see. Monitoring lived in engineer-only dashboards. Monthly reporting was manual — screenshots pasted into slides the night before reviews.
The portal had to earn client trust on first login: fast, obviously secure, and readable by non-technical stakeholders — while staying simple for BrightPath’s own team to administer.
Approach
Designed with clients, hardened like infrastructure
01
Client interviews first
We shadowed account managers and surveyed clients to rank the portal’s jobs-to-be-done.
02
Prototype the review meeting
Clickable flows tested against a real quarterly review before backend work began.
03
Integrate, then monitor
Helpdesk, monitoring, and billing APIs connected with alerts on every sync.
Outcome
What changed for BrightPath
Measured in the first quarter after launch, in the client’s own words.
Fewer “where’s my ticket?” emails
Clients check status themselves, freeing account managers for proactive work.
Reviews run themselves
Monthly reports generate automatically — no more night-before slide assembly.
A sales asset, not just a tool
The portal demo now closes deals; prospects see transparency competitors lack.
“Our clients finally see what we’ve always done behind the curtain. Renewals got easier in the first quarter — the portal pays for itself.”
